Modern day Nomad

“In North Carolina, we passed Interstate 40, and I tried to talk Dick into turning left. We could go to Nashville, Amarillo, Texas, Tucumcari, N.M., or to the Bagdad Cafe in the Mojave Desert. Dick wouldn’t do it. He said he had to get back for his flute lesson.”

  1. Nice article. I often think of all the possible destinations when I cross a road like she does.

However, if you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll never get there.

  2. We will take I-40 all the way to New Mexico and it runs through each of them. Since we are going to the North Rim we will leave I-40 twenty miles before we reach the AZ border and head northwest toward Jacob Lake, AZ
